Apparently when we received the dentures from … More the lab they were not supposed to include the receipt, because it showed the dentures cost $995 to make and I paid Vitality another $2,000 on top of the $390. So essentially the doctor made $1,005 to send measurements over to the lab. What a rip off.

I never write reviews but I had such a negative experience at Vitality Dental with Dr. Chamberlain that I had to do one. I have gone to the dentist twice a year since childhood. I have had pretty good teeth all my life, a cavity here and … More there growing up but otherwise nothing major. After two pregnancies, I started to have an increase in the number of cavities and I was getting and frustrated that my regular dentist couldn't really give me an explanation other than just to stay on top of them. That is what led me to try to find a more "holistic" dentist that looked at dental/oral health in general and I found Vitality Dental.
Long story short, what started as a "routine" procedure for a crown led me to 2+ months of issues that I NEVER had before. I had significant pain after my procedure, multiple visits to their office and they kept saying it was my bite. I was crying in their chair and they just kept on doing what they were doing and told me to try some more "natural" remedies for pain and call if I still have problems. Went on a pre planned vacation out of town and was miserable the whole time. On pain medication around the clock and eventually that wouldn't even work. Ended up needing a root canal and was told my jaw had significant inflammation from having my mouth open too long during my crown procedure (do not use the device that keeps your mouth open if you have a history of TMJ issues). I went to another dentist for a second opinion. The bite issues also caused damage to the tooth below the tooth that got the crown - hoping it resolves but TBD. She also missed a cavity that my previous dentist found in April that she did not see in her own x-rays in June but my new dentist confirmed in September. Now I need to get a filling that she never mentioned with her "comprehensive" x-rays during her consultation. I had to pay out of pocket for a new crown with my new dentist to try to fix all of the issues Dr. Chamberlin caused. I have NEVER had pain with my teeth ever and I have had issues constantly for the last 2 months. Still hoping it gets better.
The worst decision I made for my dental health was to go to Vitality Dental.

I’ve had a ton of pretty significant dental issues over my 40+ years of living and the majority of those being genetic and autoimmune related. I cannot tell you *how many* dentists I’ve seen over the years who’ve shamed me for those issues and basically told me there was little hope or solutions for them. I’ve been bullied into treatments & procedures, I’ve been talked down to. You name it, it’s probably happened to me. So much so that I developed such dental anxiety because it had become such a place of dread. Enter Vitality Dental - they have been a game changer! Dr. Chamberlain has such amazing chair side manner and absolutely treats me as an equal in conversations relating to my care. She is patient with questions and she is a straight shooter - but in a super gentle and kind way. She should be the one at conferences teaching dentists how to treat their patients. Her staff is also unmatched. The kindest, kindest people. Literally everyone at their office is a top notch human being. THIS is how going to the dentist should be. I’ll sing their praises and so much so that I’m sitting in the parking lot writing this review.

Previous Visit: Another great day in the dental chairs! Sara took great care of my cleaning. Doc identified an old metal filling that had broken down enough it should be replaced. She was able to fit me in same visit. Her very professional team quickly and clearly communicated all costs and insurance covered. I then moved to the next chair where the next Sara got me prepped for the filling replacement. Doc was amazing in her craft; no pain, quick work, great fit. Excellent Service! I sought out this office because they are a holistic dentist office and it was so nice to have them be so thorough and look at the whole picture of health/the body. The lady who answered the front desk this morning (did not give her name) would not verify with me if my insurance was in or out of network. She just stated that if we still had BCBS we would need to pay up front. She wouldn't look … More up to see my new insurance information to see if I was in or out of network. I called our new insurance and they stated she is out of network. She came across as very nonchalant and not very transparent.
I used to go to Dr. Bailey and he was wonderful.
The last time I had crowns done, the cement they used was faulty. Both of the temporaries cracked and came off easily. When they were placing my last permanent crown, they got my tooth right next to it just slightly and I have had sensitivity since.
I'm am now going to go to Smiles Brighton. I asked if they were accepting new patients and accept our insurance on their website. It said it might take 48 hours to get a response. They emailed me back and told me I could talk to them until 7pm today. She verified that we are in network/accept our insurance and accepting new patients and I have an appointment this week.
UPDATE: I was in your office for visits on April 4, 2023, April 24, 2023, May 3, 2023 and June 6, 2023 when we had BCBS. Those were all before November.
